Psychologist - Injury (My Panda Shall Fly remix)

Psychologist - Propeller (My Panda Shall Fly remix) by psychologistmusic

Psychologist has just released a new EP and this is a remix of the title track.  It's also a free download. Sweet.

Additionally, we got sent this awesome Kool Clap remix ages ago and always meant to post it.  It's absolutely sick.

NEW SUMMER 2011 RANGE FROM NICE UP!

Nice Up! have brought out a new range of t-shirts for the Summer, and they're looking dope.

Diplo, Toddla T & Ms Dynamite have been spotted wearing these garms.  Not only that, they seem to have a limited sale going on, where every tee of theirs costs less than a score.  Get in there before they get snapped up.

Looking like I'm gonna have to get one to console myself as my vinyl of Nice Up anthem Limber Up has gone walkabout.  Screwing!

LONDON RIOTS

Whilst the Arab people overthrow tyrants, the disenfranchised, angry and opportunistic poor youth of Britian loot trainers from JD Sports and want to watch the world burn.  Go figure.

Tonight, London seems to has calmed down due to a massive influx of police officers.  So step up Manchester and Birmingham which looks set on showing the London boys how it's done.

Planking!
There's already reports of a JCB being joyrided down streets looking to crush cars, mugging, police letting their dogs off the leash and petrol bombs being thrown.  Just now hearing reports of large gangs of vigilantes looking to protect their ends tonight, like the Turks did last night.

Exciting stuff, eh?

To be truly honest, and I'm not saying this just 'cause we help them out now and again, but the Vice Riots live blog feed has been the best internet source of keeping up to date with all the juicy stuff.

Looks like it's gonna be a wild night!  It's a shame Notting Hill Carnival is likely to be shut down this year though... Bummer.

VEIRS

VIERS is another new artist I've just stumbled across.  Very clean sounding future bass with an understated cool to them.  I bet he produces with sunglasses on.  Not over extending himself with VSTs, Vier's has stuck to the sounds he likes.  When listened together, you can slowly tease out a developing signature sound.  Ice cold.

GRIME - THE TATTOO ARTIST

GRIME is the next featured artist of VBS's Tattoo Age series, and the first full episode just launched.
Although sporting no tattoos myself, I'm fascinated by them.  And tattoo artists themselves are pretty interesting individuals.  I would know, I've got a mate who's one.  He's called Rytch Soddy, runs his own studio and inked to the nines, with shaved hair and mini-pink dreads.  He's also highly well-spoken and entertains an interest in physics.

For weeks, my flatmates have been trying to bundle me in a car and force me to get a '66' tattoo.  It's the house number we live in and they've all got one.  I've managed to dodge every ambush so far...

KULTURE - ROCK THE BOAT

Rock the Boat [FREE 320 here: http://t.co/HM19xKn] by KULTURE

Great track from Kulture.  Serious Lovestep vibes.

You can grab this track through 'Social Unlock', which is a neat beta feature from Soundcloud.  Don't worry, it's clean, unobtrusive and quick.  Essentially, you can download the track once you link up your twitter account and tweet about it.  I think that's pretty cool.

DOWNLOAD IT THROUGH SOCIAL UNLOCK HERE.  REQUIRES TWITTER ACCOUNT.

GET TO KNOW TRUSTA. SWAMP 81 STRAIGHT KILLING IT.

TRUSTA is Swamp 81's newest signing.  He's no new kid on the block though, Trusta is actually an alias for finnish Dubstep producer Tes La Rok.  Exploring the 130bpm soundscape and using mostly hardware and analogue gear, Trusta's pushing "ghetto minimal footwork" - to use his own words.

BASICALLY, TRUSTA'S TRACKS ARE AMAZING.

See what I mean?  Absolutely bloody killer.

DOPE tee from Married to the Mob.

"Looks like I'm gonna have to choke a bitch" - a quote from a very dear friend of mine and highly T-Shirt worthy.

GET LOW HOSTS ROOM 2 @ RAISE - 19th AUG

Ahoy hoy, just a quick shout to everyone in London next Friday, Get Low Cartel will be hosting room 2 at RAISE Corsica Studios in Elephant & Castle.

Raise is a tidy clubnight that has grown from it's origin in Warwick and donates all proceeds from the nights to well-worthy charities. So apart from putting on disgusting line-ups, the boys like to give something back which brings on a different type of club vibe as everyone feels almost part of something.

So if you are in London, definitely make it down to Corsica on Friday 19th to catch some filthy beats in room 1 and the classic Get Low party vibes in room 2.

Full line-up :

Squarehead

Was listening to Monki's Rinse show the other day and she played a track by a young new artist called Squarehead.  It's called 'Move Your Body'.  I'm sure you'll agree, it's absolutely sick.  A Grime/Juke hybrid, harking back to dark old school garage, I wouldn't be surprised if this caught the ears of Oneman and re-released on his 502 Recordings label.

BASSLACED @ CABLE >> LDN ft. DJ EZ, GIRL UNIT, THE OTHERS & MORE. ZING!

CLICK THE FLYER FOR FACEBOOK EVENT

If you know about bass heavy London events, you know about Basslaced.  Since expanding to London they've brought line-up after killer line-up to Cable.  This time round they're bringing

DJ EZ was a clear winner at the Urban Nerds 4th Birthday, blowing the dance up to smithereens with unmatchable mixing prowess.  He's joined by Girl Unit, producer of arguably the best track of last year 'Wut'. The Others & Subscape will draw for the gun-fingers, bringing fire and repping for Dub Police.  One of the most versatile producers in the scene, expect no less from his DJ set as Boabinga show's off his freshest dubs whilst Standfast and Prime Sess round off the room.

We're throwing our own party in Room 2, where we'll be coursing vibes through your veins with a heady intoxication of 'good times on the reg'.  Trust us, it's lethal stuff.

Check the dope video!
