What 2009 will bring....NEXT GET LOW JANUARY 29TH

DMZ was brilliant on Saturday, a great way to kick off the new year. I wasn't aware of much of Kryptic Minds' stuff but their low end tunes built up the vibes well. LD plays a set like no other, full of energy and distinct melodies. His Do You Mind remix is set to be a big cross over hit, and has been played out in RnB clubs and all sorts. Loefah and Mala went back to back as usual, and the place errupted like I've never seen. Big big time.

Pinch's set was predicatably high in technical quality, and drew a mass appreciation after the set of bangers that had preceeded it. Shouts to Hijack on the jungle front, too mash up by that point unfortunately.

GET LOW
Thursday 29th January
Po Na Na, Norwich

For the first night of the year, DJ T_! will be making his debut with a spcial 3 deck set. T_! has steadily built a name for himself, supporting pretty much every major Dubstep producer and his own imprint Stink like Sock has recently moved to the massive Cambridge Junction, after the a wicked event in November. He is one of the best mixers on the circuit and will tear up Po Na Na.

DJ FUTURE P also joins the Get Low Cartel for his debut in January, a sick hip hop DJ who smashes it on the 1's and 2's. He'll be playing the first set so get down early to catch him. Get Low is free before 11pm with a flyer so just make sure you grab one off the many many walls/bus stops/classrooms/grannies they will be stuck to.

GET LOW 1st BIRTHDAY BASH
THURSDAY 26th February

To celebrate One Year in the game, Caspa and Rusko will be gracing the booth for a 2 hour set. Despite the hundreds of artists we want to book we thought there would be none better than the Dub Police forefathers to create a party vibe, thier energy is up there with the best in any genre of music. Keep an eye out for more artists joining this bill, we wanna make it Norwich's biggest event ever.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009ING.....

NYE was alright in the end, considering the Urban Nerds party at Cordy House was cancelled the day before. Not cool at all, apparently the building owners didnt even have an event license, and Hackney Council aren't the most leniant organisation. It was seen in at FWD and was a laugh despite Youngsta, Chef and Headhunter all being absent. DJ SPYRO smashed it, playing a sick blend of old grime tunes with flawless mixing-despite clearly being incredibly battered. Respect.

Here are some pics from last term, of November's GET LOW featuring DJ ONEMAN and MC ASBO that I forgot to put up before. They will both be making appearances into 2009 as they can hype a crowd like no-one else.
