Girl Unit - Wut (Claude VonStroke remix)

I saw Claude VonStroke at BLOC weekend after we dj'd a secret little set there.  From this, we were lucky enough to get artist wristbands.  We then heard from some friends in production that they were having a problem with the wristbands at the festival as the security were unable to determine one colour from another due to the tinted light of most arenas.  How this panned out was that if you had any wristband that wasn't a standard audience colour you could access all areas without limitation.

Naturally, we had a blast.

On the first night I watched Claude VonStroke DJ on the main stage a mere couple of metres away from him at the side of the stage.  He did one of the most incredible sets I've ever seen, even dipping into some Drum & Bass halfway through.  It was a masterful display of crowd energy control, bringing the enormous audience on a journey to perfectly round off the first night.  It had just turned my birthday too, which was a touch.

The next day, we boyed off Aphex Twin and decided to watch DJ Funk instead who was performing at the same time.

We snuck threw the back side entrance to the stage, and pretty much ran slapbang into DJ Funk who literally gave us a hug on sight.  His real name is Charles and also happens to be one the nicest blokes ever.  He is also a raging nymphomaniac.  I did not envy his nervous female artist liaison.  Once he was on, the stage manager decides to go to the front of the barrier and let 20 girls onto the stage to dance around the dj booth on stage.  It was nuts.  Watching from the side, met a cool dude who later introduced himself as Roska.  Lovely chap.  His brother-in-law Arzy is a gee, and we bowled off to see Laurent Garnier (pretty good) and go back to some random Irish people's flat playing hard techno with an extremely striking looking Irish harijuki girl with pink hair and massive pigtails at either side of her head.  She was a bit hard to talk to, mind.
