REDUX // BRIXTON JAMM // THIS SATURDAY // Newham Generals, Skinnyman & more

Click on flyer for Facebook event!

REDUX are back again at Brixton Jamm, this time bringing the UK underground's best lyricists with them.  Expect some killer live performances, the roar from the crowd when D Double E takes the mic is gonna be deafening.

Our tip would be to catch Nightowl.  Last year we DJ'd after him at Outlook Festival in the now legendary Noah's Ballroom.  He absolutely smashed it with a "vinyl only" set, mixing as fast as any digital DJ.  Special.

Redlight's got a banging new Rinse show.

We were at the Urban Nerds 4th Birthday last Saturday at Scala.  As you can see, it had a pretty mental line-up.

Redlight did the last set of the night in the main room, accompanied by Dread MC.  With Ms. Dynamite win'ing at the side of the stage, Redlight proceeded to absolutely smash it.  One of the few artists with a truly unique sound, we'd argue he's the hottest name in the game at the moment with a slew of club bangers and dancefloor destroyers - Source 16 being a standard wheel-up after any DJ plays it. We figure he's the perfect choice to headline our launch at Plan B.

MANSION RAVE 1st Birthday Spectacular!

CLICK ON FLYER FOR MORE INFO

Well it's been a big journey.  From the early Garden Rave era to the current Mansion Rave one, the "RAVE" brand has been one hell of a ride.  With a line-up only consisting of resident DJs, every single event has been a smash.
This coming 1st Birthday Spectacular is going to be epic

We're filling out 3 whole rooms of music, ranging from Party Bangers in Room 1, Funk & Hip Hop and all things vinyl in Room 2, to filthy Dubstep in Room 3.

We're pulling out all the stops on this one, fitting out the club with Birthday decor, giving out a load of birthday treats and doing something EXTRA special on the main dancefloor when the night hits its peak.  You won't want to miss this!

GET LOW SUMMER SHAKEDOWN // SAT 11TH JUNE // PLAN B, BRIXTON // KILLER LINE-UP!

CLICK ON PICTURE FOR FACEBOOK EVENT

We're proud to announce our upcoming Get Low Summer Shakedown that we're sure is going to be an absolute blast.  Come on down for a skanky skanky!

LINE-UP!

After conquering the D&B scene as Clipz, he diverted his attention and recently has been creating his own special sound as Redlight that floats between House, Dubstep, Funky and all things hype.  With collaborations with some of the greatest and a back catalogue more valuable than the fortune of Monte Christo, it's an absolute pleasure to finally host this bass heavy deity.

Appearing alongside Redlight will be Dread MC, fast making a name for himself in both Drum & Bass and Dubstep circles.  He's worked alongside DJ Die, Skream, Benga, Redlight, Pinch and Kutz at their own request, and makes frequent appearances at the UK's top clubnights.  Don't miss Dread bringing the hype!

ONEMAN

A true Get Low favourite, we've got the one and only Oneman back again in full force with his incredible music collection that never ceases to amaze, inspire and merk dancefloors left, right and centre. Effortlessly mixing across genres, pulling out gem after gem, come watch the master at work.

Another Get Low regular, The Heatwave are back bringing the finest bashment going. Causing riots on the dancefloor and enticing girls on stage to dance for Rubi Dan's approval; there is a reason we try to get The Heatwave back as often as possible - they simply create pure vibes everywhere they go.

Building up a formidable reputation as top party DJs,  they rumble chestplates, wobble knees and bring bassline to your nostril.  Dancefloors just got dangerous.

As always, Madboy Zimba playing all things Funky, from Tropical to Grime, Hip Hop to Dubstep, it's quite frankly impossible to sit still while this old skool turntablist is on.

+

Get Low familiars BUDS and D-Rail will be DJing back to back to take everything darkside for the last hour to wind down the nights proceedings.

This is the launch party for our new residency at

RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE - FREEDOM (Skream's Psychotic Cyborgs Remix)

DOWNLOAD LINK

This tune's been getting smashed by the likes of Benga, Rusko, and Diplo.  Literally just seconds ago, Skream's given it away for free!

I was a hater of filth till I played some out.  Guess what?  The crowd went mental.  Although it isn't what I'd listen to for leisure, this is definitely a dancefloor battle weapon...

Vista Vision by BEATS IN ABUNDANCE

The long awaited new Beats In Abundance mix has dropped, and it's a corker.  A carefully considered construction, this isn't just the newest tracks out slapped together.  Instead, it's a journey through the Purple side of sounds, drenched in enough synths that you'll be on the slizzurp in no time.

This Sunday, Beats In Abundance are dj'ing at the GET LOW SUNDAY SESSIONS.

We're taking over The Lock Tavern in Camden.  Sampha, Smutlee, and Swindle (and more!) headline.

Girl Unit - Wut (Claude VonStroke remix)

I saw Claude VonStroke at BLOC weekend after we dj'd a secret little set there.  From this, we were lucky enough to get artist wristbands.  We then heard from some friends in production that they were having a problem with the wristbands at the festival as the security were unable to determine one colour from another due to the tinted light of most arenas.  How this panned out was that if you had any wristband that wasn't a standard audience colour you could access all areas without limitation.

Naturally, we had a blast.

On the first night I watched Claude VonStroke DJ on the main stage a mere couple of metres away from him at the side of the stage.  He did one of the most incredible sets I've ever seen, even dipping into some Drum & Bass halfway through.  It was a masterful display of crowd energy control, bringing the enormous audience on a journey to perfectly round off the first night.  It had just turned my birthday too, which was a touch.

The next day, we boyed off Aphex Twin and decided to watch DJ Funk instead who was performing at the same time.

We snuck threw the back side entrance to the stage, and pretty much ran slapbang into DJ Funk who literally gave us a hug on sight.  His real name is Charles and also happens to be one the nicest blokes ever.  He is also a raging nymphomaniac.  I did not envy his nervous female artist liaison.  Once he was on, the stage manager decides to go to the front of the barrier and let 20 girls onto the stage to dance around the dj booth on stage.  It was nuts.  Watching from the side, met a cool dude who later introduced himself as Roska.  Lovely chap.  His brother-in-law Arzy is a gee, and we bowled off to see Laurent Garnier (pretty good) and go back to some random Irish people's flat playing hard techno with an extremely striking looking Irish harijuki girl with pink hair and massive pigtails at either side of her head.  She was a bit hard to talk to, mind.

PLAYFEST 2011

PlayFest is a brand spanking new festival for East Anglia, bringing together Indie-ish bands, underground DJs as well as local DJ crews and unsigned bands.  It's intimate too, being held at a small rural Norfolk location.  Proper country, like.
Darwin Deez & Grooverider are playing on the Saturday too.

We're DJ'ing at 6pm to 7pm in the Dance Area.
