It seems that Diplo loves off Blackberry's aswell as Redbull now. See guys he's just like the rest of us! My admiration for Diplo remains mostly intact, mainly because the advert isn't that bad, and the product in question is admittedly desirable (I instantly viewed my simple Blackberry curve with disdain as soon as the ad finished).
However, viewed alongside the brutally branded Red Bull Major Lazer show at Notting Hill Carnival (an event which clearly went against the core ethos of Carnival) it is clear that Diplo has been fully embraced by the mainstream. This is a tired old comment to make, but whats next? Headlining Creamfields? Becoming a guest judge on the X Factor? Actually that would be brilliant...
On a different tip, this Bruk Out remix by Foamo is a tune we've been banging out in our sets all summer. Probably the best remix of the year.
