Rinse FM circa 2006 by Georgina Cook
Goergina Cook compiled a collection of seminal pictures between 2005-2008, mostly at DMZ and other Brixton based gigs. This was the era when Dubstep was finding its feet and was still very much a niche genre lost amognst the bustle of South London.
In light of the immensely roadblock DMZ 6th Birthday on Saturday, its astounding to take a look back and see just how much things have changed. Take the below photos of Rinse FM in 2006. It looks in every way like what a Daily Mail reader would think of when he hears the phrase "pirate radio station".
The station changed gears in the following years to become an internationally acclaimed official FM broadcaster with a superb record label and regular spots at some of the worlds biggest clubs and festivals.
